BIO

Allie (she/her) is a San Diego based director of new and contemporary plays that center women and engage with questions of gender, power, and queerness. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Directing at UCSD. Before moving to San Diego, she lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she directed at Custom Made Theatre Co., Cutting Ball Theater, San Francisco Playhouse, and in American Conservatory Theater's Young Conservatory and MFA programs. Her work has been nominated for San Francisco BroadwayWorld's Best Direction of a Play. She was previously the literary manager and casting associate at American Conservatory Theater, where she worked on new play development and cast A.C.T.'s mainstage programming. She also taught in A.C.T.'s MFA, San Francisco Semester, and Young Conservatory programs. Allie has a BA in Theater from Goucher College and is an Associate Member of SDC.
